Self & Social perception Lab
1) Social Comparison. We examine the influence of social comparison information on self-evaluations and whether some comparisons have a stronger influence than others.
2) Accuracy and Bias. We study the accuracy of self and social perceptions and the circumstances in which people have biased perceptions.
3) Meta-Analysis. We use meta-analysis to examine the association of individual difference variables (e.g., gender, personality, social status) with consequential outcomes (e.g., performance, health).
You can join my lab by gaining entry into the PhD program in Social Psychology or the MA program in Experimental Psychology at UNC Greensboro. (I am recruiting new students for Fall 2024).
