Self & Social perception LabResearch Interests
1) Social Comparison. We examine the influence of social comparison information on self-evaluations and whether some comparisons have a stronger influence than others. 2) Accuracy and Bias. We study the accuracy of self and social perceptions and the circumstances in which people have biased perceptions. 3) Meta-Analysis. We use meta-analysis to examine the association of individual difference variables (e.g., gender, personality, social status) with consequential outcomes (e.g., performance, health).
